Zenith Fire Shutters are available 2 or 4 hour rated self coiling or motorised. Tested to BS 476 Part 22 by the Loss Prevention Council board. It is essential the structure to which the Zenith Fire Resistant roller shutter is to be installed must have the same fire rankings ie: 2 or 4 hour.
Construction - 75mm curved steel scroll lengths standard finish galvanised.
Push Pull – shutters up to 2500x2000 can be supplied self coiling push up operation. The door is designed to stay in the open position and close in the event of fire. The roller shutters are fitted with drop bar assemblies with fusible link as standard. All shutters supplied with a fusible link will automatically close when local temperature exceed 68 degrees centigrade.
Shutters automatically opened from a remote source will come within 24 volt DC solenoid with either manual or automatic reset.
For personnel safety, shutters should be supplied with audible and visual warning panels to inform personnel of impending closure.
Chain operation
Note, controlled descent operation on non electrical doors is an option but it is a good safety practice and should be specified.
Again the doors to stay in an open position, maximum size is 4000mm widex3000mm high.
Note operation by means of endless steel chain wheel is only applicable if full LP CB specification is not required.

Tubular Motor
On the smaller electrical doors we can supply Fire Shutters with Tubular Motor thus enhancing the overall appearance of the door. Typical applications would be for: Counters or Serveries - Further details on request.
Electric operation
These doors are controlled by a controlled descent motor. On activation the ICTE of descent is controlled by the gear box being constantly engaged exerting a manual breaking effect on the curtain. The ICTE of descent is approximately 100mm per second. The clutch can be reset at a high level and the door can be raised and lowered in the normal fashion. The motor has a facility to stimulate a fire test by a pull and test cord, maximum certified size 7000mm x 7000mm electric operation is normally with standard 3 button push control, available in 3 phase or single phase
